Privacy Policy
This is a small devotional website run by one devotee. You can read every paath, listen to the audio and download every PDF without giving your name, email or phone number. This page explains, in plain words, the little that is collected and why.
In short
- No sign-up, no login. Every page and PDF is free and open.
- Google Analytics counts visits without knowing who you are. Google AdSense ads and Amazon affiliate links help pay for the site. These use cookies, and you can opt out.
- The contact form is the only place you share personal details, and only if you choose to write.
- YouTube loads only when you tap play on a video. Until then, nothing is sent to YouTube.
- Your data is never sold. You can ask to see or delete what you sent, any time.
Who runs this site
hanumanashtak.in is run by Saurabh Satyaram, a Hanuman bhakt from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, as a personal seva. There is no company behind it. In this policy, "I" and "me" mean the person who runs the site. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), I am the one responsible for any personal data you share here.
What is collected
Very little. Here is all of it:

There are no accounts, no comments and no newsletter, and you do not need to give anything to download a PDF. The text size buttons on the paath pages work only in your browser and nothing is saved.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website can save in your browser. The site itself does not need any cookies to work. The images, audio and PDFs come from the site itself, and the fonts come from Google Fonts, which sets no cookies. Cookies are set only by these partners:

You can see, block and delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. The site will keep working.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to count visits. It records things like which pages are opened, for how long, the type of device and browser, the city or country (from the IP address), and which website or search brought you here. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. The reports show totals, and they do not tell me who you are.
This helps me see which paaths and PDFs people use most, and what to improve. The data is processed by Google and may be stored on servers outside India. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and you can stop it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Google AdSense ads
To cover the cost of running the site, it shows ads through Google AdSense. About these ads:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- If you turn off personalised ads, you will still see ads, but they will be based on the page you are reading, not on you.
- Ads are kept away from the verses of the paath, and I do not choose or control which ads Google shows.
Amazon affiliate links
Some pages may link to puja items, books and other products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This means if you buy something after clicking such a link, Amazon pays this site a small commission. The price you pay stays the same.
When you click an affiliate link you go to Amazon's website, where Amazon's own privacy notice applies, and Amazon sets a cookie so the purchase is credited to this site. I do not see your name, address or what you bought, only the total commission. Products are suggested only when they are useful for the paath or puja.

How the information is used
- To reply to your message, and to fix mistakes you point out in the text.
- To deliver the pages and PDFs, and to keep the site safe from spam and attacks.
- To understand which pages are useful (Google Analytics), and to pay for the site through ads and affiliate links.
- To follow the law, if a court or government authority asks in the proper way.
Your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing. Your email is not added to any list.
How long it is kept
- Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up, and deleted within 12 months. Sooner if you ask.
- Technical details: kept by Cloudflare for a short time, as per its own policy.
- Google Analytics data: kept by Google for 14 months, then deleted. Reports only show totals.
- Ad and Amazon cookies: kept in your browser as long as each company sets, unless you delete them.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data of yours is held here, if any.
- Correct it if it is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete it, for example your old contact messages.
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier, as easily as you gave it.
- Raise a grievance and get a reply, and if you are not satisfied, approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, write through the contact page and say what you need. I will reply within 30 days. No reason is needed and there is no charge.
Children
Children are welcome to read the paath here, there is nothing to sign up for. Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone below 18. If you are below 18, please ask a parent before sending a message through the contact form. If a parent finds that their child has sent personal details, write to me and they will be deleted.
Security
Every page is served over a secure HTTPS connection. There is no user database on this site, so there are no passwords or accounts that can leak. Contact messages are kept in a password-protected account with the form service. No website can promise perfect security, but keeping almost nothing is the safest way, and that is what this site does.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, for example when ads are added, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change. This version is from 19 October 2026.
